“You only regret the chances you didn’t take.”

We have all heard this statement before. While I don’t fully agree with it, I do think there is a lot of truth there. I’m here to encourage you (and myself) to just DO IT!

What is it that is tickling the back corners of your mind… keeps moving to the front, but for some reason, you keep pushing it back?

I have put off many dreams for many years, and now I am taking the plunge. Let me tell you–it is full of emotions: excitement, fear, joy, worry, doubt and everything in between. Let me tell you–Fear, worry, doubt. Those are from the enemy, not from the Father. The Lord wants GOOD things for you, and that includes following the desires of your heart, your passions, your dreams. He is a good, good father, and what good Father doesn’t want good things for His children?

Here are some verses to show that He wants these good things for you:

1: He works for the good. He has called you.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28

2: He will never fail or abandon you.

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. Deuteronomy 31:6

3: He will give you the desires of your heart.

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

This doesn’t mean that there won’t be any disappointments or stumbles, because we live in a broken world and we are simply human. However, we must operating in our calling and lean on our Father to support us–if we are keeping HIM at the forefront of our endeavor and delight in Him continuously, He will take care of us. And if nothing else, we will have at least put one foot in front of the other, and simply took the jump–the leap of faith that took bravery and courage to do so.

Whatever is tugging at your heart strings–starting a business, creating something, showing your talent to the world, writing, singing, going back to school, practicing a lost art or new endeavor, leaving a job, accepting a promotion–do it.

Take the leap. Do the big thing. Lean on your Daddy to take care of you.

Because you are capable. Because you are worth it.
